Hi Cathy, I have been looking at your recommended properties for each county and see that you have just a few you have picked out whereas when you look at the full county list there are many many more cottages. I just wondered how you choose which cottages to feature as the few recommended? Do you use specific criteria or just choose the ones you think look the nicest? Thanks! Michelle.
When we decided to set up UK Cottages we wanted to offer a website that helps you to research an area of the UK which might be of interest to you, give you an idea of what it has to offer and then present you with a selection of quality-assured self catering holiday cottages from our trusted partners to suit your needs. Peter has worked in senior positions within the travel industry for nearly 30 years.
I was a journalist and latterly a deputy editor of a newspaper until I began to raise my family. We are both keen walkers and have the good fortune to live in the Yorkshire Dales. We both have a passion for exploring this beautiful island of ours and believe that staying in self catering holiday cottages is one of the best ways to really get to know the UK. There is so much variety in the landscape, the architecture, the customs, the food and drink and the people.
