Here's what you can see and do if you stay at one of our cottages in Cambridgeshire.
Cambridgeshire lies deep in the Fens, flat but far from featureless, with waterways and rivers mingling with fields and wildlife and, of course, the city of Cambridge itself. One of the most beautiful cities in Britain with its magnificent university architecture, Cambridge is perhaps best enjoyed punting along the river. If you are planning to stay at one of our Cambridgeshire cottages a visit to Ely is also a must. Built on a chalk hill this small city is dominated by its cathedral, one of England's most beautiful and largest. The imposing structure towers across the fens for miles around and is known locally as the 'Ship of the Fens'. Near Ely is another remarkable church, this time in ruins. Crowland Abbey was once the grandest abbey in the country. Crowland also has a curious triangular bridge - standing in the centre of the village on dry land. From our cottages Cambridgeshire and the attractions described all lie within easy reach.
