Here you can still see and hear the lapwing, the curlew and the skylark. This is limestone country, a landscape like no other.

Situated between the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors, the Vale of York has its own distinct character, as well as in York, one of the finest medieval cities anywhere. Many motorists drive onto the North York Moors up the steep hill that passes the famous White Horse of Kilburn, carved into the chalk escarpment rising from the Vale of York and well known for its panoramic views. Once up this area, designated a National Park, is a landscape of bleakly beautiful moors and lush green valleys, perfect for walkers of all levels. The moors drop dramatically down to the sea forming, a ragged coastline dotted with charming fishing villages such as Staithes and Robin Hoods Bay.
