By selecting one of our holiday cottages North Yorkshire and its beautiful landscape beckons. Many motorists drive onto the North York Moors up the steep hill past the famous White Horse of Kilburn, carved into the chalk escarpment rising from the Vale of York and well known for its panoramic views. This area, designated a National Park, is bleak, yet beautiful, a mix of moorland and verdant valleys, perfect for walkers of all levels. Another way of exploring the area is to ride a steam train ride on the North York Moors Railway. The moors drop dramatically down to the sea forming, a ragged coastline dotted with charming fishing villages such as Staithes and Robin Hoods Bay, where traditional North Yorkshire cottages cling to the cliffs.
