Kent holiday cottages
Widely known as the Garden of England, the fertile soil in Kent provides just the right conditions for plants and fruit to flourish, hence the county's fame for orchards, hops and vineyards. If you are staying at any of our Kent holiday cottages a trip to Canterbury, a major centre of Christianity and now a World Heritage Site, is a must. A great place of pilgrimage, most famously recounted in Chaucer's Canterbury Tales, the cathedral is a magnificent medieval structure with some of the finest stained glass windows in the country.
Cottages in Sussex
Often referred to as Sussex by the Sea there are over 50 miles of coast to explore with all the enduring charms of the classic English seaside - secluded bays and unspoilt sand dunes as well as lively ports and marinas. Stretching across Sussex from Eastbourne to Harting Down in the west of Sussex and then on to Winchester in Hampshire, the South Downs includes some of the most varied and essentially English landscapes. From the open chalk grassland to ancient forests and lush river valleys to bluebell woods, the South Downs is a unique and protected National Park with much for the visitor to explore from one of our holiday homes in Sussex.
Hampshire cottages
Hampshire will soon be able to boast the home of two national parks within its borders - the New Forest and recently confirmed South Downs National Park. Hampshire comprises fine rolling green hills and tranquil villages of the South Downs to the north and ancient forests of the New Forest in the south, combined with the historic cities Portsmouth, Southampton and Winchester famed for its beautiful cathedral and home to the legendary Round Table, built by Merlin the Wizard for King Arthur.
Isle of Wight cottages
The Isle of Wight has long been known as The Garden Isle and is one of England's sunniest and warmest locations. Only minutes from the mainland by ferry, it is a world apart and has a magic all its own. Visitors say that the isle reminds them of England a generation or more ago. The Isle of Wight has 60 miles of stunning coast including award-winning beaches spectacular cliffs, creeks and marshland as well as the famous Needles - three towers of rock jutting out from the sea at the western extremity of the island. Inland there are picturesque villages, downland, farmland , river valleys, and a rich diversity of wildlife, flora and fauna.
