Often referred to as Sussex by the Sea, within this region there are over 50 miles of coast to explore, including secluded bays and sand dunes as well as lively ports and marinas. Linking the neighbouring counties of East and West Sussex, from Eastbourne to Harting Down and stretching up to Winchester in Hampshire, here the South Downs include some of the most varied and essentially English landscapes. From chalk grassland to ancient forests; lush river valleys to bluebell woods, the South Downs is a unique and protected National Park with much for the visitor to explore from one of our holiday homes in Sussex.

Hampshire will soon be able to lay claim to two national parks within its borders - the New Forest and recently confirmed South Downs National Park. The county combines the rolling hills and tranquil villages of the South Downs to the north and ancient glades of the New Forest in the south. Its historic cities of Portsmouth, Southampton and Winchester are famed for their heritage; beautiful Winchester cathedral is home to the legendary Round Table, built by Merlin the Wizard for King Arthur.
