Cardiff, the capital of Wales, is a lively place. Here you'll find the attractions of Cardiff Castle, the National Museum of Wales with its fine collection of impressionist art and the Millennium Stadium, offering daily tours to the public. In recent years, Cardiff Bay to the south of the city centre has undergone substantial regeneration and is now home to the Welsh Parliament building as well as a diverse selection of eateries. To the north, the valleys have seen unprecedented redevelopment since the Industrial Revolution. However, reminders of their coalmining past are still evident and include the recently designated World Heritage Site Blaenavon Industrial Landscape which is worth visiting whilst on holiday in Wales. By selecting one of our holiday cottages Glamorgan and its many attractions can be discovered.
Further west, along the coast, the lovely Gower Peninsula attracts a large number of visitors every year. From our holiday cottages Gower attractions are at hand; although the peninsula stretches just 19 miles, it can claim 70 bays and beaches. Britain's first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Gower peninsula is a popular destination for surfers, riders and walkers with its estuaries, moorland, cliffs and sandy beaches inviting further exploration.
