In a nutshell:Stylishly furnished, outdoor pool, very short drive to coast, pet friendly. A popular destination for those seeking to stay in holiday cottages Somerset offers the chance to enjoy the best of coast and countryside. These cottages are at the foot of Grabbist Hill, a steeply wooded oak hillside with magnificent views over Dunster Castle to the Quantocks. Only a mile away is Dunster, just inland from the lovely north Somerset coast and on the eastern edge of beautiful Exmoor. The winding high street and bustling market place are a treasure trove of historic buildings - with over 200 boasting Grade I or II listing - while towering over everything is Dunster's romantic castle. You can wander around the Jacobean and Victorian interiors, or spend hours in the stunning terraced gardens that surround the castle, with their amazing collection of sub-tropical plants, plus the national collection of strawberry trees and Britain's oldest lemon tree. The wilds of Exmoor are never far away and it's easy to venture into the heart of the National Park from the village. Within minutes by car, or even on foot, you'll find yourself surrounded by some of the UK's most dramatic countryside.

At the foot of Grabbist Hill (NT) in the Exmoor National Park, these four beautifully furnished and well-equipped Grade II listed cottages are set in the grounds of 16th century Ellicombe Manor. Clustered around a cobbled courtyard they enjoy shared use of an outdoor heated swimming pool, with its own walled area and poolside furniture, and an acre of magnificent sub tropical gardens and 3-acre paddock offering views over the West Somerset Steam Railway and across the Bristol Channel to the Welsh coast. The gardens are a special feature of Ellicombe Manor, filled with mature palm trees, named exotic plants and shrubs and quiet corners with seating. Here, too, visitors may discover the ‘secret garden’ or enjoy a game of outdoor chess or other outdoor games.
A mile away, Dunster, with its famous castle, yarn market and pre Christmas candlelight shopping, offers a selection of pubs, shops, and restaurants. Minehead’s resort attractions, sandy beach and coastal path walks are also close by. Golf, river and lake fishing, horse riding and wonderful walking locally in Exmoor National Park and West Somerset Steam Railway weekends. One mile to the start of South West Coast Path.
