In a nutshell: Pet friendly, panoramic sea views, walk to pub and shop. Our Argyll cottages include these two cottages with magnificent sea views on Seil Island. Opinions differ about whether Seil should be counted as an island at all. It is accessed by Clachan Bridge, more famously known as the 'Bridge over the Atlantic' as the tidal water which flows underneath comes from the Atlantic Ocean. These cottages are situated in Ellenabeich, the largest village on Seil, which along with Easdale, Luing and Belnahua are known as the Slate Islands. The landscape around Ellenabeich, and Easdale Island in particular, has been transformed by an industry that lasted for centuries and which led this archipelago to become known as 'the islands that roofed the world'.
