Nearby is Millport, a small seaside resort with a slightly old-world feel and the only significant settlement on the island. Cumbrae is a paradise for cyclists. The coastal road provides breathtaking scenery whilst the more hilly inland roads offer stunning panoramas over the Firth of Clyde. The island is extremely rich in bird species. The shore road provides easy viewing of shore and sea birds. In winter a seal colony resides in Millport Bay with summer sightings common, although less frequent.

The Isle of Cumbrae is only a 7 minute ferry journey from Largs which is 1 hour by car or train from Glasgow. This spacious ground floor holiday apartment has a fabulous beach-front location on Kames Bay with uninterrupted views to the Isle of Arran, Little Cumbrae and Millport town. It has a large enclosed garden with a raised patio area, perfect for sunbathing and relaxing. Cumbrae is an ideal destination for all types of outdoor pursuits such as cycling, sailing, walking, golf, photography and fishing. Millport has a good variety of restaurants, cafés and shops. There is plenty to keep children occupied with beaches, crazy golf, bouncy castles, cycle hire and organised entertainment during the summer months.
