In a nutshell: Pet friendly, two bathrooms, access to games room and tennis court. This comfortable Cumbrian cottage lies in the beautiful Eden Valley, which has many hidden little gems. One such is the nearby Rutter Force on the Hoff Beck. This unspoilt beauty spot has an impressive waterfall, ford and a charming, warm red sandstone former watermill, next to the falls, which once served as a corn mill and retains its waterwheel. From here there is a walk along the River Eden to Appleby, once the county town of old Westmorland, returning via the Hoff Beck.

High on the top of the fells in a quiet hamlet, this comfortable cottage has been tastefully decorated throughout. Lying in the beautiful Eden Valley, between the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales, it is an ideal base to explore their many delights. In an area dotted with historical monuments and outstanding natural attractions, there is something for everyone to enjoy, including excellent local walking, riding, fishing and golf. Kirkby Stephen 6 miles is a bustling market town with supermarket, shopping, Tourist Information Centre, library, pubs and restaurants. Appleby, an ancient market town with pretty cobbled streets, inns and shops, lies 7 miles away, also has a public swimming pool. Great Asby (3 miles) has a pub serving food.
