Dating from the 17th century and nestling on the edge of a peaceful rural village, this traditional Welsh long cottage is a romantic gem with a beautifully furnished interior and its own pretty garden area. Adjoining the owners’ home, it offers a superb base for exploring this delightful area of outstanding natural beauty – glorious sandy beaches and walking in the Clwydian Hills are easily accessible. Mold 3 miles. Village pub 200 yards, shop 2 miles.

When we decided to set up UK Cottages we wanted to offer a website that helps you to research an area of the UK which might be of interest to you, give you an idea of what it has to offer and then present you with a selection of quality-assured self catering holiday cottages from our trusted partners to suit your needs. Peter has worked in senior positions within the travel industry for nearly 30 years.
I was a journalist and latterly a deputy editor of a newspaper until I began to raise my family. We are both keen walkers and have the good fortune to live in the Yorkshire Dales. We both have a passion for exploring this beautiful island of ours and believe that staying in self catering holiday cottages is one of the best ways to really get to know the UK. There is so much variety in the landscape, the architecture, the customs, the food and drink and the people.
Despite increasing uniformity, we believe that you can still discover this rich diversity if you look hard enough and you will have a much more fulfilling holiday for that.
