A holiday at this Derbyshire cottage would not be complete without a visit to nearby Hardwick Hall. It is one of Britain's finest and most unchanged Elizabethan houses. The hall has massive windows and fine proportions and contains outstanding collections of 16th-century embroidery, tapestries, furniture and portraits. It stands in a commanding position overlooking the surrounding countryside within a country park containing rare breeds of cattle and sheep and the walled and enclosed gardens around the house include a herb garden, orchard and decorative gardens.

Situated amidst lovely countryside, this immaculate and very spacious cottage is within easy reach of the attractions of the beautiful Peak District. Set in the woodland grounds of the owner's home with shared use of lawned gardens. Hardwick Hall (N.T.) is only 2 miles away, while the imposing 18th century Chatsworth House and park, medieval Haddon Hall, the Midland Railway Centre, Bolsover Castle and many factory shops are all within 15 miles. Excellent pub and restaurant 300 yards, shops 3 miles.
