If you are a large family or group looking for holiday cottages Dorset is a great location for a get-together with family or friends, with plenty to do for everyone including some great coastal locations and beaches nearby. Ringstead Bay is a hidden gem. The beach is nearly half a mile of shingle with uncovered sand once the tide goes out, flanked by high chalk cliffs with fabulous views over to Weymouth. More famous are the neighbouring beaches of Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door. Lulworth Cove is an almost perfectly circular bay with pebble shores flanked by high cliffs. A short, albeit energetic walk, along the coastal path leads to the natural limestone arch called Durdle Door, one of the most photographed and famous parts of Dorset's coastline and two small, busy shingle beaches separated by the rock formation.
