In the pretty East Neuk village of Elie, and just a short stroll from its award winning sandy beach (pictured), this well appointed second floor apartment enjoys views over the beach to the Isle of May. Interesting shops, inns, restaurant and excellent water sports facilities are a few yards’ walk whilst some of Scotland’s finest golf courses lie within easy reach. (The Old Course at St Andrews is only about 20 minutes’ drive). Cycle hire is available locally, the coastal path affords fine scenic walking, and riding and clay pigeon shooting are found nearby. Kellie Castle is close by and Edinburgh is just over an hour’s drive.

About Us

When we decided to set up UK Cottages we wanted to offer a website that helps you to research an area of the UK which might be of interest to you, give you an idea of what it has to offer and then present you with a selection of quality-assured self catering holiday cottages from our trusted partners to suit your needs. Peter has worked in senior positions within the travel industry for nearly 30 years.
I was a journalist and latterly a deputy editor of a newspaper until I began to raise my family. We are both keen walkers and have the good fortune to live in the Yorkshire Dales. We both have a passion for exploring this beautiful island of ours and believe that staying in self catering holiday cottages is one of the best ways to really get to know the UK. There is so much variety in the landscape, the architecture, the customs, the food and drink and the people.
Despite increasing uniformity, we believe that you can still discover this rich diversity if you look hard enough and you will have a much more fulfilling holiday for that. Plus, we not only want to share our passion for the UK countryside with you, but want you to share thoughts and ideas with us to possibly help someone else choose the right place for their holiday cottage.
