It is run as a registered charity formed out of public concern that the heritage of the Forest of Dean was fast disappearing. Situated in a converted 19th-century former mill in the picturesque Soudley Valley, the museum collection is displayed in five new galleries telling the history of the Forest of Dean and its people.
