Cathy's Say

In a nutshell: Listed building, unique holiday home, featured on BBC1's Under The Hammer. Our featured Kent cottages include this mini-Gothic castle within walking distance of the centre of Dover and the world renowned White Cliffs. Cliff-top fortifications bear witness to the town's defence of the realm down the centuries, a role forced upon it by accident of geography with its proximity to mainland Europe and large natural harbour. The town's tourist attractions include Roman remains, a well-preserved Norman castle and the restored Wartime Tunnels.
