Perfect for a relaxing break whatever the season, this delightful 200 year old beamed country cottage has been beautifully renovated to offer superb accommodation. Set in lovely grounds, it adjoins the owners’ home in an excellent location from which to explore North Norfolk. The charming town of Holt, with its quaint shops and restaurants, is just 10 miles and the glorious sandy beaches of Holkham and Wells Next The Sea, Pensthorpe Park (of BBC Springwatch fame), Fakenham Races and a dinosaur park are all within an easy drive as are Norwich city and the Norfolk Broads. Shop and pub 1.5 miles.

When we decided to set up UK Cottages we wanted to offer a website that helps you to research an area of the UK which might be of interest to you, give you an idea of what it has to offer and then present you with a selection of quality-assured self catering holiday cottages from our trusted partners to suit your needs. Peter has worked in senior positions within the travel industry for nearly 30 years.
I was a journalist and latterly a deputy editor of a newspaper until I began to raise my family. We are both keen walkers and have the good fortune to live in the Yorkshire Dales. We both have a passion for exploring this beautiful island of ours and believe that staying in self catering holiday cottages is one of the best ways to really get to know the UK. There is so much variety in the landscape, the architecture, the customs, the food and drink and the people.
Despite increasing uniformity, we believe that you can still discover this rich diversity if you look hard enough and you will have a much more fulfilling holiday for that.
