Nearby King's Lynn is an historic medieval port dating back to the 12th century, situated on the Great Ouse River. The town has narrow streets and handsome merchant houses its old quarter. Down by the river, you can take a ferry over to the west bank and take in the outstanding view of King's Lynn's townscape.

Tucked peacefully down a little country lane in the heart of the Fenland, and enjoying glorious pastoral views, this spacious property is ideally located for visiting the area’s many attractions. Adjoining the owners’ Edwardian farmhouse, it sits just 8 miles from inns, restaurants and museums in historic King’s Lynn. Hunstanton’s vast sandy beach and sea life sanctuary, Heacham Beach, Norfolk Lavender with animal centre and play area, Oxburgh Hall, Houghton Hall, the Queen’s Estate at Sandringham, Caithness Crystal and Denver Windmill are all an easy drive. An hour from BeWilderwood, High Lodge Forest and beautiful Cambridge. Shop and pub 1 mile.

When we decided to set up UK Cottages we wanted to offer a website that helps you to research an area of the UK which might be of interest to you, give you an idea of what it has to offer and then present you with a selection of quality-assured self catering holiday cottages from our trusted partners to suit your needs. Peter has worked in senior positions within the travel industry for nearly 30 years.
I was a journalist and latterly a deputy editor of a newspaper until I began to raise my family. We are both keen walkers and have the good fortune to live in the Yorkshire Dales. We both have a passion for exploring this beautiful island of ours and believe that staying in self catering holiday cottages is one of the best ways to really get to know the UK. There is so much variety in the landscape, the architecture, the customs, the food and drink and the people.
Despite increasing uniformity, we believe that you can still discover this rich diversity if you look hard enough and you will have a much more fulfilling holiday for that.
