When it comes to holiday cottages Cornwall has a good choice with sea views close to fantastic beaches. This comfortable property stands on the headland above the picturesque village of Port Gaverne, a pretty unspoilt cove around the corner from Port Isaac. There is a sheltered, sandy beach, with rock pools, probably the safest in North Cornwall for small children. Port Isaac has been an attractive fishing village since the Middle Ages. Its narrow, winding streets are lined with old white-washed cottages and traditional granite, slate-fronted Cornish buildings, many of which are listed. Although Port Isaac has only a shingle beach, there are other attractive sandy beaches within a short distance. Four miles away is Polzeath, the area's best surfing beach, and around the same distance away is Daymer Bay, a beach welcoming both families and pets.

Beautiful views along the Cornish coast greet visitors to this very comfortable property standing on the headland above the picturesque village of Port Gaverne (pictured) and the fishing village of Port Isaac with its huddle of slate houses and narrow alleyways. This is an ideal spot for those who enjoy coastal walks, bird watching, golf, fishing, cycling along the Camel Trail or just lazing on the beach. Polzeath’s glorious sandy beach is just a few minutes drive and the cliff caves and rock pools are a children’s paradise. Water sports can be enjoyed just a few minutes drive away at Rock, from where a passenger ferry crosses the Camel Estuary to the town of Padstow and Rick Stein’s famous seafood restaurant. A little further along the coast stands Tintagel’s medieval castle and the quaint fishing village of Boscastle, whilst inland lies Bodmin Moor and Jamaica Inn. Pub and restaurant 0.5 mile, shop 1 mile.
