In a nutshell: Short drive to coast, large shared grounds, games room, play area, free fishing on site. If you enjoy Cornish cottage holidays, these comfortable pine lodges could be perfect for discovering north Cornwall. They are an excellent base for those wanting a taster of area. Here you will discover 60 miles of dramatic coastline with sandy beaches, hidden coves and pretty fishing villages. Bude, Crackington Haven, Boscastle, King Arthurs Tintagel and Port Isaac are all hidden in the most spectacular cliffs in Cornwall. Inland there are wooded river valleys, bustling market towns and the bleak beauty of Bodmin Moor, as well as stunning country houses and medieval castles.

Property Description

Within a short drive of fine surfing beaches on the North Cornwall Coast (Crackington Haven and Widemouth are both about 10 miles), these two cosy and comfortable pine lodges enjoy a peaceful setting in 14 acres of shared grounds with three fishing lakes. Wildlife abounds and children will love the friendly chickens and ponies. The bustling town of Bude’s sandy beach and canal (12 miles) and the quaint harbours of Boscastle, Port Isaac and Tintagel are all easily accessible as are the Camel cycle trail to Padstow, walking on Bodmin Moor, Launceston and Lanhydrock (NT). Shop and pub 4.5 miles.

All on ground floor: Living/dining room with French doors/kitchen. 2 bedrooms: 1 double with French doors, 1 bunk. Shower room with toilet.

When we decided to set up UK Cottages we wanted to offer a website that helps you to research an area of the UK which might be of interest to you, give you an idea of what it has to offer and then present you with a selection of quality-assured self catering holiday cottages from our trusted partners to suit your needs. Peter has worked in senior positions within the travel industry for nearly 30 years.
I was a journalist and latterly a deputy editor of a newspaper until I began to raise my family. We are both keen walkers and have the good fortune to live in the Yorkshire Dales. We both have a passion for exploring this beautiful island of ours and believe that staying in self catering holiday cottages is one of the best ways to really get to know the UK. There is so much variety in the landscape, the architecture, the customs, the food and drink and the people.
