For visitors to Devon holiday cottages like this make an ideal base from which to explore Exmoor National Park. The small winding roads of Exmoor take you through the varied countryside of heather moorland, farmland, ancient wooded valleys, spectacular coastal cliffs and historic villages. The property is situated on the edge of the National Park, a couple of miles from Bampton. It is a delightful town with many fine Georgian buildings, dominated by its castle - one of the best preserved in Devon. Just a few miles away is the small town of Dulverton, situated in a beautiful wooded area. This is excellent walking country with riverside and woodland walks, or more strenuous climbs up to the moors.
