This Oxfordshire cottage is just 10 miles from Oxford - the city of 'dreaming spires', best seen from just outside the city on Boar's Hill (on the way into Oxford from the property). It is famous as the home of one of the oldest and most highly revered universities in Europe. Many of the university colleges can be visited as well as the Bodleian Library, the Ashmolean Museum, the Botanic Gardens and Christ Church Cathedral. There are also boat trips or punting on the River Thames and you can take in an entertaining guided walking tour or open-top bus tours to take in the city's architecture and heritage.
Property Description
Enjoying direct access to an unspoiled stretch of the River Thames (pictured) and to the long distance path which runs from its source to the sea, this very comfortable property has recently been converted from attractive brick and stone farm buildings. Tastefully decorated it forms a single storey wing of the owner's house. Fishing is available. Within 1 mile are two good pubs, one with restaurant. Leisure park 2 miles. Witney (7 miles) and Abingdon (9 miles) are interesting local market towns, and Oxford is only 10 miles. Shop 2 miles.
