It is famous as the home of one of the oldest and most highly revered universities in Europe. Many of the university colleges can be visited as well as the Bodleian Library, the Ashmolean Museum, the Botanic Gardens and Christ Church Cathedral. There are also boat trips or punting on the River Thames and you can take in an entertaining guided walking tour or open-top bus tours to take in the city's architecture and heritage.
