When it comes to holiday cottages Shropshire can offer some great properties in villages where traditional festivals and celebrations take place, demonstrating the continuing strength of the local community. In Clun the Green Man Festival is a time-honoured springtime celebration, held on the first May bank holiday weekend of the year to when the Green Man battles the spirit of winter at Clun Bridge. In August, the Clun Carnival and Show incorporates a week-long series of events and in October, the annual Beer Festival is a popular event.
