In a nutshell: Walk to shop, French windows to patio, short drive to Ludlow. This is one of several of our Shropshire cottages with great walking right on the doorstep. In medieval times there used to be coal mining and quarrying on the nearby Clee Hills. Today the scene is somewhat different. Quarrying still takes place on Titterstone Clee, but Brown Clee, the highest point in Shropshire, is silent. Nature has reclaimed the hills and remnants of rare wildflower meadows survive while the disused quarries have become home to a wealth of wildlife, including peregrine falcons.
