If you are looking for a seaside holiday cottage Somerset has some excellent beaches and great resorts. Holm Cottage is just 15 minutes walk from the wide sweep of Weston Bay with miles of clean sandy beach. Weston-super-Mare is the archetypal English seaside resort. It became popular in the Victorian era and many of its grander buildings date from that time though it remains a popular family holiday resort. The Grand Pier is the focal point on the seafront. The Pier has been updated over the years but still retains its original character. Weston is made for entertainment so you will find all manner of seaside fun, theatres, cinemas and attractions including paddle steamer trips across the Bristol Channel and into the Severn Estuary.

This renovated Victorian cottage and its walled garden sit in a peaceful mews just 15 minutes’ walk from the golden sands of Weston-super-Mare. As well as its Marine Lake, wide promenade and three piers, the popular resort boasts regular entertainments at the Playhouse Theatre and Winter Gardens, two golf courses, windsurfing and sailing facilities, plus a multitude of shops, bars and eating places. Nearby attractions include Cheddar Gorge and Caves, Wookey Hole, Glastonbury, beautiful Bath, the magnificent cathedral at Wells, Clark’s shopping village, and National Trust properties such as Clevedon Court, Tyntesfield and Montacute.
