The Blackdown Hills are a beautifully tranquil and relatively isolated landscape on the Devon and Somerset border, regarded as the West Country's hidden gem.

This stunning lodge enjoys a superb location in wonderful countryside setting in a woodland clearing on a 25 acre sheep/grass farm on the fringes of the Exmoor National Park and within a short drive of the graceful market town of Bampton, Dulverton, Tiverton and the county town of Taunton. The area offers fantastic opportunities for walking, riding and cycling as well as easy access to the resorts of Lynton and Lynmouth (joined by cliff railway), Porlock Weir, Watchet and the traditional entertainments at Minehead. Arlington Court, Knightshayes Court, Dunster Castle and Watersmeet (all N.T.) are well worth exploring, the West Somerset Railway runs nearby. Pub serving food 1 mile, shops 4 miles.
