Holiday cottages in Devon with sea views are highly prized. These apartments look out over the Exe estuary towards Exmouth, a popular holiday destination since the 18th century with a two-mile seafront, golden beaches, attractive promenade and lots of family seaside entertainment. Exmouth is also the western gateway to the World Heritage Jurassic Coast. Just two miles away is Dawlish, a seaside town of charm and character, nestled attractively between steep surrounding hills. The railway sweeps along the entire seafront and beach of the resort which is part-Victorian, part-Regency with character cottages, impressive villas and narrow streets. There are three beaches; Boat Cove, Coryton Cove and the town beach that stretches all the way to the award-winning beach of Dawlish Warren.

These fabulous apartments, with stunning views across the Exe estuary, provide the ideal base for a really relaxing holiday. Easily accessible by road, rail and water, they sit opposite a small railway station and ferry port to Exmouth’s two miles of golden sands and traditional resort facilities. The fine beach and nature reserve at Dawlish Warren are 2 miles whilst sightseeing and shopping in the cathedral city of Exeter are 7 miles. The surrounding countryside is particularly good for walking and cycling – nearby Haldon Forest is criss-crossed with trails and there is even a cycle track to Exeter from Regent House itself – and the Exe estuary is great for sailing, windsurfing and all manner of water sports, with tuition for all levels of ability. Guided bird watching cruises are available, river cruises run all year and Jurassic Coast cruises in summer. Some of Devon’s famed resorts – Budleigh Salterton, Seaton and Sidmouth as well as the ‘English Riviera’ resorts of Torquay, Paignton and Brixham – and Dartmoor National Park’s rugged beauty are a little further afield. Shops and a pub serving food are within a 5 minute stroll.
