Our featured Devon holiday cottages include this property within walking distance of the beautiful little shingle beach of Fishcombe, an idyllic spot surrounded by cliffs and wooded hillsides. A steep path leading down to the beach passes through mature woodland and opens out to reveal a small cove, with spectacular scenery. Brixham is one of Britain's busiest fishing ports, where life centres on the bustling harbour. You can watch the fishermen unloading their daily catch and sample freshly caught seafood from one of the quayside's fish stalls. Away from the harbour you can lose yourself in a maze of narrow, winding streets, and within walking distance from the town centre you will find some of the Riviera's most spectacular scenery. Sandy beaches and secluded coves give way to the towering cliffs of Berry Head, offering breathtaking views of Torbay and the English Channel.

Property Description

These four single-storey holiday homes are just 100 yards from the glorious sand and shingle of Fishcombe Cove (pictured) and close to the bustling fishing port of Brixham, much loved by artists. Within easy reach of the attractive ’Riviera’ resorts of Torquay and Paignton, with its famous zoo, overlooking Torbay with a summer-long list of regattas, music and art festivals, and Dartmouth, home to the Naval College, from where enjoyable boat trips can be taken up river to Totne and NT properties at Coleton Fishacre. Slightly further afield is the great beach at Slapton Sands, the South West Coastal Path, Salcombe, a yachting and water sport centre, and Kingsbridge up the estuary. Brixham has a wealth of cafés, pubs and restaurants, and fresh sea food can be purchased on the harbour. Shops and pubs 0.5 mile.
