The cottage is situated at the head of the Manifold Trail, a nine-mile route through the White Peak and just a few miles from the 17-mile long High Peak Trail which joins the 13-mile Tissington Trail and connects Ashbourne to Buxton.

In idyllic countryside crisscrossed with footpaths, at the head of the Manifold Valley Trail’s 8 miles of traffic free cycling, this contemporary barn conversion at the side of a 0.5 acre of land in the tiny hamlet of Hulme End. There is a general store 100 yards away, a small visitor centre and seasonal café as well as a good dining pub within 0.75 mile and further shops, cafés, pubs and famous cheese store in Hartington (2 miles). The Tissington Trail is 3 miles; Bakewell, Ashbourne, Buxton, Leek, Alton Towers, Trentham Gardens, Waterworld, Heights of Abraham and Chatsworth House are under 15 miles.
