In a nutshell: Well appointed, very comfortable, walk to beach and pub, glorious views, three bathrooms, king size bed, pet friendly, enclosed garden. If you are part of a large group looking for holiday cottages Suffolk is a great location for a get-together with family or friends, with plenty to do for everyone. This spacious property is situated just outside Felixstowe, an attractive seaside resort that has retained much of its traditional charm and elegance over the years. Beautiful gardens line its long, level promenade and Felixstowe boasts over four miles of sand and shingle beaches still dotted with colourful beach huts. Within walking distance is the foot ferry across the Deben estuary to Bawdsey and the southern end of the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There are many interesting walks along this stretch of coast.

Property Description

In an enviable, elevated setting, with glorious views over the golf course and the boating activity on the River Deben estuary, this spacious property makes a perfect base for family holidays. Well appointed and very comfortable, it stands in its large, attractive garden (pictured right) a ten-minute stroll from Old Felixstowe’s Blue Flag beach. The small ferry boat that crosses the river to Bawdsey, quaint cottages, and two excellent inns are 15 minutes walk away whilst an 18 hole and a 9 hole pay and play golf course are only 5 minutes’ walk. Felixstowe town (1.5 miles) provides leisure facilities and a seaside funfair. Visitors are sure to enjoy exploring the scenic beauty of the surrounding area, including Constable country and Rendlesham and Tunstall forests, and the Suffolk Coasts and Heaths long-distance footpath. The market town of Woodbridge’s Tide Mill (N.T.), Sutton Hoo’s Anglo Saxon burial site, Orford Castle, Aldeburgh and Snape Maltings Concert Hall are all within easy reach. Pub under 0.5 miles; shops, beach fishing and cycle hire 1.5 miles.
