Tucked away in peaceful countryside on the Norfolk/Suffolk border, this very comfortable retreat is just 5 miles from the market town of Bungay, renowned for antiques. Set in beautiful grounds, overlooking a lily pond abounding with wildlife (pictured) the cottage is adjacent to the owner’s home. Norfolk’s Broadland, coast and RSPB Minsmere are within 40 minutes drive. Medieval Norwich, 10 miles. Shops and pubs 2 miles.

All on ground floor: Living/dining room with patio door and wooden floors. Kitchen. 1 double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with corner bath, shower cubicle and toilet, and access to dressing room with single (for child).

When we decided to set up UK Cottages we wanted to offer a website that helps you to research an area of the UK which might be of interest to you, give you an idea of what it has to offer and then present you with a selection of quality-assured self catering holiday cottages from our trusted partners to suit your needs. Peter has worked in senior positions within the travel industry for nearly 30 years.
I was a journalist and latterly a deputy editor of a newspaper until I began to raise my family. We are both keen walkers and have the good fortune to live in the Yorkshire Dales. We both have a passion for exploring this beautiful island of ours and believe that staying in self catering holiday cottages is one of the best ways to really get to know the UK. There is so much variety in the landscape, the architecture, the customs, the food and drink and the people.
Despite increasing uniformity, we believe that you can still discover this rich diversity if you look hard enough and you will have a much more fulfilling holiday for that.
