In a nutshell: Former dovecote, walk to pub. By selecting one of our holiday cottages York and the many attractions in and around the city can be discovered. The Dovecote is close to the old market town of Howden, dominated by its minster, with a beautifully preserved Georgian town centre with narrow cobbled streets and restored buildings. Walking through Howden`s narrow streets you can admire its fine Georgian architecture, as well as some attractive shops, historic coaching inns and charming tea rooms, and a small market which takes place each Friday.
