For a short break in a holiday cottage Warwickshire is a great location. This particular property is just a couple of miles from the county town which is steeped in history and well-known for the major tourist site of Warwick Castle. This is a splendid medieval castle, one of the finest stately homes in England, and will appeal to all the family whilst on a cottage holiday. Inside are the Great Hall, State rooms, Chapel, Ghost Tower and dungeons. Outside there is a Victorian rose garden, conservatory and peacock garden and in the summer there is a full programme of activities. There are live shows demonstrating jousting, archery, falconry and combat as well as a huge reconstructed trebuchet (catapult) that is fired twice a day.

Enjoying splendid views over open countryside towards Warwick Castle in the distance, this superbly positioned property and its large enclosed garden lies at the edge of Hampton Magna. Luxuriously appointed and extremely comfortable, it provides an ideal base for exploring the many delights of Shakespeare Country. Formerly the owners' home, a small annexe (shown right of downpipe - no access to garden) is occasionally used by family. Warwick (2 miles), a charming town known for its magnificent castle offers a selection of inns and restaurants, antique shops, a sports centre and swimming pool. And, just 8 miles away, in Stratford-upon-Avon visitors can explore the Bard's birthplace, as well as enjoy wonderful theatre productions and boating on the River Avon. Coventry and the National Exhibition Centre are within easy reach and a mainline railway station (1 mile) provides regular services to London, Birmingham and Oxford. Golf, fishing and riding can all be found nearby. Village shop and pub serving food ½ mile.
