If you are walkers looking for holiday cottages West Yorkshire is a great location for a variety of scenery and walks. Waterfall Cottage lies just outside the large village of Marsden surrounded by hilly moorland above the Colne Valley in the south Pennines, just eight miles from Holmfirth. There are many walks in the Colne Valley where ancient, paved pack-horse trails criss-cross the countryside and Marsden area. One popular walk is up through the Wessenden Valley which contains streams, reservoirs and waterfalls and is a popular picnic area in the summer.
