Our featured Worcestershire cottages include these two apartments overlooking Malvern, famous for its mineral water. Its natural springs made it one of the most popular spa towns in the Victorian era and many of the grand 19th-century buildings remain. The town sits on the slopes of the Malvern Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty which rise from the River Severn plain and form a striking landmark visible from afar; although they are only nine miles long, the hills offer some fine walking.

This unusual and quietly set apartment building overlooks the beautiful town of Malvern and offers panoramic views towards the Severn Valley. At one time it was a hotel where the 7-year old Franklin Roosevelt stayed to recuperate following an illness. The many delights of this town, particularly the exceptional theatre, leisure centre, range of restaurants and antique shops, are within a couple of minutes’ downhill walk and the town is the home of the famous Morgan cars. From the apartments there is direct foot access to the famously lovely hills behind which are just perfect for walkers. The nearby Three Counties Showground hosts many events throughout the year. This is a superb location for touring the beautiful Welsh/English border area. In easy reach by car are Eastnor Castle and the birthplace and grave of Elgar. Or take a trip into Wales and canoe the wonderful Wye Valley. Bustling Hereford’s cathedral with the Mappa Mundi is not to be missed, whilst the stunning cathedral, rowing events and racecourse of Worcester, plus elegant Cheltenham, also with its races, can both be reached by train. Pub 100 yards, shops and restaurants 300 yards.
