From these delightful cottages Thornton Le Dale, one of the prettiest villages in North Yorkshire, is just a few miles away. Situated on the southern edge of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, it is a very pleasant village with a traditional market cross, stocks on the village green and a blend of traditional, picturesque Yorkshire cottages and newer properties with considerable character. A stream runs through the village where you can admire a much-photographed thatched cottage - one of very few remaining in this part of North Yorkshire. The village remains very popular with tourists, although is far from being over commercialised.
Set in the grounds of an 18th century manor house, beside an area of outstanding natural beauty, these delightful and individually designed cottages offer something for all ages and are ideal for holidays at any time of year. Walking and cycling paths from the doorstep directly into Netherby Dale, and passing through the Chafer Wood nature reserve, lead to Dalby Forest with its miles of forest trails, picnic spots and the Bridestone rock formations.
