In a nutshell: Detached converted chapel, short walk to beach and pub, pet friendly Our featured East Yorkshire cottages include this converted chapel, now a stylish holiday property, just outside Hornsea. To the north lie the beautiful, undulating Yorkshire Wolds and to the south the flat landscape of Holderness and Spurn Point - a truly unique place. Here the land dwindles to an extraordinary three-mile long, finger of sand and shingle jutting out into the Humber Estuary. This curving spit is only 50 metres wide in places, making it look like an elongated tongue. Spurn's environment is very fragile and open to the ravages of the North Sea but this is a beautiful place for bird watching, sea fishing, walking or just a day out.
