In a nutshell: Smartly furnished, well equipped, enclosed garden, walk to coast and pub, pet friendly. If you are beach lovers looking for holiday cottages Yorkshire is a great location. The East Yorkshire coast stretches from Spurn Head in the south, to Flamborough Head in the north. Spurn Point is an extraordinary three-mile long finger of shifting sand and shingle, only 50 metres wide in places, jutting out into the Humber Estuary. Up the coast is the holiday resort Withernsea, perhaps best known for its lighthouse - now a museum - which towers 127 feet above the town. Hornsea is another popular East Yorkshire holiday resort, with a fine beach, attractive gardens and an attractive promenade. Less than a mile from the sea is Hornsea Mere, the largest freshwater lake in Yorkshire. Bridlington offers two lovely sandy beaches, one on either side of the historic harbour, sheltered from the north winds by Flamborough, whose towering chalk cliffs are home to one of the largest sites of nesting sea birds in England. Take a walk along the cliffs to see a wide variety of birds including a colony of gannets. There are sea caves and coves to explore all along the headland.

Property Description

Enjoying a peaceful and private enclosed garden setting, these two smartly furnished and very well equipped adjoining single storey properties sit within 100 yards of the village inn and only 0.5 miles from the coastal path. Just 4 miles away lie the sandy beach and charming town of Hornsea, a freshwater lake with boating and fishing, and shopping at the ‘Freeport’ outlet. A drive of under 15 miles reaches The Deep undersea experience at Hull and the busy resort of Bridlington is about 12 miles distant. The great historic houses of Burton Agnes and Burton Constable are both around 10 miles away, whilst the fascinating city of York is a lovely, 40 mile scenic drive across the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds. The cottages share access to a large playing field and also free use of the heated indoor swimming pool at the local Leisure Club (2 miles away). Golf and coarse fishing 2 miles. Shops 4 miles.
