I was a journalist and latterly a deputy editor of a newspaper until I began to raise my family. We are both keen walkers and have the good fortune to live in the Yorkshire Dales.We both have a passion for exploring this beautiful island of ours and believe that staying in a holiday cottage is one of the best ways to really get to know it. There is so much variety whether it is the landscape, the architecture, the customs, the food and drink, or the people.
Despite increasing uniformity, we believe that you can still discover this rich diversity if you look hard enough and you will have a much more fulfilling holiday for that. Plus, we not only want to share our passion for the countryside with you, but want you to share thoughts and ideas with us to possibly help someone else choose the right place for their cottage holiday.
